Innovation durch künstlerisches Denken
Wir alle erstreben es, das Neue, Bessere, Originelle, Einzigartige. Die Maxime heisst Innovation. Das Industrieunternehmen wie auch der Künstler, die Künstlerin wollen mit ihrem Schaffen Erfolge, Anerkennung, Selbstverwirklichung, abgesehen von einer angemessenen Entschädigung für ihre Arbeit.
Kann ein Industriebetrieb bei seinen Innovationsprozessen und der Kreation eines neuen Produktes vom schöpferischen Vorgehen einer Künstlerin, eines Künstlers lernen? Kann ein industrielles Problem besser durch die klassische, nämlich rationale und lineare Analyse oder eher durch eine nicht-lineare, intuitive und gesamtheitliche Synthese wie die eines Künstlers gelöst werden?
Künstler werden manchmal als ausgefallen dargestellt. Ihr Denken weicht oftmals von hergebrachten Normen ab, um etwas darzustellen, um etwas Neues und Erstaunliches zu erschaffen. Der Umweg, Trial and Error, das Tüfteln und Spielen sind ihre Arbeitsmethoden. Die kreativ Arbeitenden lernen aus Fehlern, um weiter zu kommen. Sie sind, weil sie zu neuen Sichtweisen kommen, unheimlich innovativ. Kunstschaffende verlassen alte Pfade, heben Barrieren, nutzen Synergien mit neuen Medien und Materialien. Ihre Arbeitsmethoden stehen im markanten Gegensatz zum unerbittlichen Verfolgen eines Businessplanes oder einer zielorientierten, straffen Projektführung.
Wir sprechen scherzhaft von exzentrischen Künstlern. Dabei ist es gerade der Exzenter, die runde Scheibe, die sich exzentrisch um eine Achse dreht und mit ihrer Drehbewegung sich in eine Längsbewegung umwandelt. Der Künstler wählt einen unkonventionellen Dreh, eine Pirouette, um vorwärts zu kommen und so Neues und für den Betrachter Unerwartetes zu schaffen. Wissenschaft und Industrie hingegen wollen ein gewünschtes Ergebnis möglichst auf einem direkten Weg erreichen. Umwege sind zeitaufwendig und teuer. Doch genau diese Umwege können der Ursprung von interessanten Erkenntnissen oder schöpferischen Erfindungen sein. Der Kreative denkt anders als der Techniker, der sich in gebahnten Mustern bewegt, der Sicherheit sucht und die Risiken minimiert. Der Künstler ist getrieben von seiner Fantasie, er will den Betrachter stutzig machen und oft auch mit seinem Werk verunsichern oder gar provozieren. Er sprengt teilweise die nachvollziehbaren Beweisketten der Wissenschaft. Energieverbrauch, Gewicht, Raumbedarf und Kostenniveau stehen kaum an erster Stelle beim künstlerischen Schaffen. Diese Vorgehensweise wie auch die kreativen und intuitiven Qualitäten sind schwierig messbar. Aber es ist diese Arbeitsmethode des Künstlers, sein innerer Kick, seine Neugierde, die ihn schöpferisch weiter bringt.
Die im Customer Center präsentierten neuen Waagen sind von einem innovativen Bühler Team entwickelt und mit kreativen Konzepten gestaltet worden. Ich bin überzeugt, das Team verliess viele hemmende und einschränkende Sichtweisen und wurde von einer schöpferischen Neugier und intuitiven Kräften aus der Künstlerschaft inspiriert.
Es ist bezeichnenderweise ein Künstler, der folgendes gesagt hat: Our heads are round so our thoughts can change directions (Francis Picabia).
